The federal government is negotiating new trade agreements and seeking feedback on your interests and priorities.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has negotiated a revised certificate for exports of porcine spray-dried blood intended for animal consumption to Brazil (HA2330). The certificate is available through your local CFIA office and can be used immediately.

The Canadian government is providing further relief from the payment of tariffs with the Order Amending the United States Surtax Remission Order (2025) (Remission Order), which entered into force on June 22, 2026.

On June 2, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer proposed new tariffs on multiple trading partners including Canada. Greer is proposing a 10% tariff on goods exported from Canada to the US, but ANAC anticipates minimal impact to the feed industry.

The list outlining the collective agreements set to expire in the transportation sector assists industry in identifying potential supply chain disruptions due to labour actions such as strikes or lockouts if a new collective agreement is not reached. 

On May 27, Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (CPKC) received a 72-hour strike notice from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Canadian Signals and Communications System Council No. 11, representing approximately 300 signals and communications employees across Canada.
