ANCC 2026: An anniversary worth remembering

From May 5 to 7, more than 300 participants gathered in Edmonton, Alberta for the 10th anniversary of the Animal Nutrition Conference of Canada (ANCC). As in previous years, this event brought together feed industry professionals, government representatives, researchers, and students from across Canada and around the world to explore the latest developments in livestock nutrition.

Do you have feedback on your CN Rail service?

A few times each year, representatives of ANAC’s Transportation and Supply Chain Committee meet with key individuals of CN to provide positive and negative feedback on their rail service to the feed industry. The meetings also serve as a forum to discuss industry’s future rail needs and CN’s upcoming projects. Our next meeting is scheduled for the end of May.

Call for nominations: Working group on effect of feed ingredients on animals

ANAC is seeking nominations from members interested in joining an expert working group (EWG) tasked with drafting guidance on the development of studies to obtain effectiveness data to support the authorization of claims relative to the effect of a feed ingredient on target animal species or classes of animals.

Indo-Pacific region is looking for your feed innovations

ANAC recently met with the Regional Trade Commissioner covering agriculture and agri‑food across the Indo‑Pacific region, including livestock, feed and aquaculture. The Indo-Pacific Agriculture and Agri-Food (AAFC) office is keen to collaborate with members of the feed industry who would like to explore the possibility of bringing their innovative feed products to support the growth of livestock operations and food security in this region.
