ANAC advocates to reduce inefficient red tape

Your association has been at work advocating for a more favourable regulatory environment for your business. ANAC recently submitted a letter to Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Heath MacDonald identifying and urging the implementation of a series of measures to reduce inefficient red tape and onerous administrative burden on the livestock feed industry and its primary regulator, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

Proposed changes to Canada Labour Code introduce new leave of absence provisions

Government has published Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Made Under the Canada Labour Code (Leave Related to Pregnancy Loss, Bereavement Leave and Leave for Placement of Child) in Canada Gazette, Part I (CGI) for consultation. These proposed amendments would introduce new leave of absence provisions for employees in federally regulated organizations (including feed mills).
