The feed industry is eagerly anticipating the publication of the modernized Feeds Regulations and the benefits they will bring. Unfortunately, the process to have the regulations approved through the different levels of government has halted due to a recently identified issue with new requirements related to the export of feed and feed ingredients.

The 2024 notices have been delayed until late December or January. The deadline for submitting renewal applications for registrations that expire on March 31, 2024 will be March 31 as in previous years. Once the modernized Feeds Regulations are published, it will be up to each business to determine which of their products will continue to require registration and therefore renewal.
