To support our members in navigating the changes introduced by the Feeds Regulations, 2024, ANAC hosted an informative webinar on July 10. This session provided a comprehensive overview of the new regulations and outlined the Association’s plan for member support.

With the implementation of the Feeds Regulations, 2024, come updates to labelling and product registration requirements, including new flexibilities to benefit your business.

Health Canada recently shared a communication with details on the in-feed pathway for veterinary health products (VHP), which officially launched with the publication of the new regulations.

The Feeds Regulations, 2024 include nine documents that are incorporated by reference (IbR).IbR documents form part of the regulatory requirements without being part of the regulations themselves. This method facilitates more timely updates of regulatory requirements resulting from industry changes and advancements in scientific developments and innovation. 

ANAC’s Feeds Regulations 2024 Transition Guide (a summary of the major changes arising from the updated regulations) has been updated to bring the references in line with the final version of the regulations published in Canada Gazette, Part II.

ANAC is thrilled to announce that after 14 years of hard work and advocacy, the Feeds Regulations, 2024 were published in Canada Gazette, Part II today.

Veterinary health products (VHPs) can now be notified through Health Canada for in-feed use. As a new allowance under the Feeds Regulations, 2024, notified in-feed VHPs can now be mixed in livestock feeds once they have been added to the Compendium of Non-Feed Product Brochures.
