ANAC is pleased to announce the release of two new resources arising from our work with IFEEDER (The Institute for Feed Education and Research) on phase two of the Sustainability Road Map project.

In a significant step forward in an ongoing commitment to enhancing sustainability and transparency in Canada’s agri-food sector, the National Index on Agri-Food Performance has entered a new phase with the launch of the Centre for Agri-Food Benchmarking.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has published the draft Reducing Enteric Methane Emissions from Beef Cattle federal offset protocol. This protocol will be intended for use by those undertaking projects to reduce enteric methane emissions in confined beef cattle feeding operations through improved management, diet reformulation, the use of feed additives, growth promotors or other innovative strategies.

This fall, share insights into your business’s sustainability actions with the next generation of changemakers and contribute to the development of a new resource for the Animal Food Industry Sustainability Toolkit.

The Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI) recently updated their Animal Nutrition Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) database to continue helping feed industry stakeholders produce feed with a lower footprint.

To help the Canadian feed industry take another step forward in its sustainability journey, ANAC has partnered with the Institute for Feed Industry Education and Research (IFEEDER) on Phase 2 of the Sustainability Road Map Project.
