On September 8, President Trump issued five proclamations imposing further 50% tariffs on certain imported Canadian goods as well as a complete ban on the import of certain Canadian products as the next move in the Canada-United States (US) trade war. ANAC has reviewed the proclamations and associated annexes listing the impacted goods. Based on this review, we anticipate minimal direct impact for the feed industry. However, certain animal protein products, such as cheese, will be affected.
