This position is based out of our Innisfail office and premix manufacturing facility in Central Alberta. The successful candidate will divide their time between office-based support for walk‑in clients and on‑farm visits throughout Alberta. Most of the role involves working directly with producers as a value‑added technical resource.

Responsibilities include:

• Partnering with new and existing clients to develop whole‑farm nutrition programs
• Feed testing and interpretation
• Ration formulation, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Assisting with custom premix formulation and collaborating daily with the manufacturing team
• Participating in industry events and ongoing professional development
• Contributing to a collaborative, supportive ruminant nutrition team

Requirements:

Exceptional people skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science/Nutrition (minimum)
• Strong understanding of the beef industry
• Collaborative communication skills
• Willingness to travel to farms throughout Alberta
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
• Motivation to learn and seek out information
• Accountability and professionalism
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with ration balancing programs
• Valid Canadian driver’s license
• High level of self‑confidence, positive attitude, maturity, and integrity
