New Feeds Regulations suffer a setback

The feed industry is eagerly anticipating the publication of the modernized Feeds Regulations and the benefits they will bring. Unfortunately, the process to have the regulations approved through the different levels of government has halted due to a recently identified issue with new requirements related to the export of feed and feed ingredients.

ANAC’s 2022 Feed consumption statistics now published

Through the Canadian Livestock Feed Consumption report, ANAC provides annual estimates of livestock feed consumption volumes in Canada broken down by species and geography. This information will help stakeholders understand livestock feed demand in Canada and proactively identify changes that could impact the industry.

Refreshing ANAC’s strategic plan

ANAC’s Board of Directors recently spent two productive days in Vaudreuil, Québec developing ANAC’s strategic plan for the next five years. At the conclusion of this strategic planning session, the directors unanimously agreed on a new plan that will guide ANAC’s activities to support the sustainable production of safe animal feed throughout Canada.
