For those new to HACCP/FeedAssure and looking to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals required to implement HACCP and preventive control plans in their facilities, ANAC is offering a web-based feed safety course which will be delivered by NSF International. This interactive introductory course will be offered as a webinar series consisting of four half-day sessions spread out over two weeks which will allow participants to practice new concepts between sessions. Active participation for all four sessions is mandatory to receive the final certificate. When you manufacture feed, you have a responsibility to produce safe food. Your customers want assurances that the feed is safe both for the animals and the people who consume products from them. A properly designed, documented and implemented FeedAssure® HACCP safety plan is a powerful tool to ensure a safe feed supply.
The French offering of this course is scheduled for the last two weeks of March while the English offering is planned for the first two weeks of April.
This four-part webinar series will focus on good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and the methodology of feed safety hazard identification and risk assessment used in HACCP Plan development. The webinars will run once a week for four consecutive weeks, for a total of 12 hours of training. At the end of the program, you will be able to:
- Describe feed safety hazards
- Describe the steps in developing HACCP
- Apply GMP practices to feed facilities
- Conduct a hazard analysis
- Take steps to create a FeedAssure® compliant feed safety plan
