Vision 2015

In 2011 the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC) created a new Vision and Strategic Framework known as Vision 2015 as a recognition of the need for the association to be more proactive in addressing the issues that affect our industry. 

"ANAC will be a national leader and international partner in the agri-food sector, committed to improving the business environment, resulting in the sustainable production of safe animal feed."

In 2011, ANAC's Board of Directors approved a new series of strategic measures to move ANAC and Canada’s commercial feed industry to a new level of action and impact. Vision 2015 will guide us in achieving a number of key objectives, all of which support three Pillars of Success. Success around these three Pillars will enhance ANAC’s effectiveness as a credible partner that provides substantive positions on national issues for the Canadian feed industry and a partner in the maintenance of a safe food production system.

First Pillar – Leadership

ANAC is committed to playing an effective role in the development of policies, laws and regulations of importance to the feed industry. As well, we are committed to being a leader in the agri-food sector, putting forth solutions that will benefit all players in the Canada's food value chain. We develop substantive positions on the priority issues of the day and work in partnership with government and other agri-food industry stakeholders.

Second Pillar – Improve the Business Environment

ANAC works to create an environment that promotes production of safe animal feed in a competitive, sustainable way through our vision document titled: The Case for Modernization of the Canadian Feeds Regulations. We are dedicated to continuous improvement of our FeedAssure™ HACCP feed safety program, already recognized as one of the most comprehensive among feed industries in the world, and to sharing feed safety best practices and animal nutrition knowledge with government regulators and other stakeholders.

Third Pillar – Sustainability

ANAC is focused on promoting feed safety for food safety and to protect the environment sustainability through industry best practices and regulatory reform. In addition to sustaining its organizational strengths for the long term, through ongoing provision of value to our members.
